Strengthening economic and trade relations between Morocco and China is the aim of the memorandum of understanding signed Monday between CGEM and the Chinese Council for the Development of International Trade (CCPIT).
Under this agreement, signed in videoconference mode, the two parties undertake to support the Moroccan and Chinese private sectors in identifying business opportunities and promoting investment and co-investment. “Our aim is to further strengthen our cooperation. We must therefore remove barriers and identify new opportunities to ensure a better presence of Chinese companies in the Kingdom and Moroccan companies in China ”, underlines to this effect Chakib Alj, president of the CGEM.
On the Chinese side, Gao Yan, president of the CCPIT, welcomed the excellent relations between China and Morocco, stressing that since the creation of the Sino-Moroccan Business Council in 2003, the CCPIT and the CGEM have maintained close cooperation. This new partnership, which is the initiative of the Morocco-China Business Council, also aims to encourage the establishment of Moroccan companies in China and Chinese companies in Morocco, in particular those in the industrial and industrial sectors. digital technology, and to establish and strengthen mechanisms for the exchange and sharing of information, in particular with regard to national economic and trade trends, laws and regulations, policies and measures, industrial standards, as well as market analysis and investment projects.
